Conceptual Design of the Schoolwide Enrichment Model
The SEM is a "detailed blueprint for the development of gifts and talents in young people" (Renzulli, 2003, p. 5).
The SEM may be conceptualized as three interacting dimensions: 1) Organization, 2) Service Delivery, and 3) School Structures. The first two dimensions are brought to bear upon the third. See Figure 3.

Note: The service delivery components form the centerpiece of model. These components provide direct services to the students and have implications regarding the identification of and curriculum for gifted students.
